And there are times that the entire beast doesn’t fit, or at least you can’t figure out how to get it in there. I’m reading Against the Day (Thomas Pynchon, over 1,000 pages), and I think this may not have represented a clear victory for the author over the octopus. Still interesting, though.

This is very true! I’ve never read any Thomas Pynchon novels, but I’ve never really had the desire to. lol At least the book is interesting. 🙂
