Author Questions

Here’s a chance to get to know me a little more.  I accidentally got myself into one of these hops, so I thought I might as well have fun with it!  (I don’t tag authors in these things, honestly, but feel free to grab these questions and do it yourself!)

What are you working on right now?

I’m working on two novels at the moment.  One is Entertaining Angels, and it’s about a young girl of sixteen who has self-esteem issues and is being bullied.  It’s a Christian YA fiction novel that will, hopefully, help young adults overcome their problems and see that they are in fact beautiful.

How does your writing process work?

What writing process?  Seriously, it’s usually fueled by coffee and kept up by chocolate.  I try to write between 1,000-2,000, hopefully more a day – when I’m writing.  Then, I let my books set for a while, start the revision/editing process and then beta readers and then more edits, more edits, more edits, proofreading, more proofreading, publication. 🙂

Who are authors that you most admire?

Oh the list is long!  There are so many from my friends like Carlyle Labuschagne, Janelle Stalder to Dean Koontz, Frank Peretti, and Ted Dekker.

Where do you turn for instruction and inspiration?

God first and foremost.  He leads me in the direction of what I need to write, and when I’m frustrated, He gives me His everlasting peace.

Humanly, my best friend.  He’s there to hear me whine and complain, just like my mom, dad, and sister.

Your turn!  Answer these questions honestly on your blog!  Thanks Pat Brannon for tagging me in this!
