This hop’s theme revolves around trimming the Christmas tree and our favorite, most sentimental ornaments. My mom has always trimmed her tree in ornaments that my sister and I made throughout elementary school, and to her, that’s the most sentimental. But for me, I remember this one ornament my grandma bought and painted for us. It was a snow baby. I was always so excited to put that ornament on the tree. It hasn’t been on my tree in a while, though, since it’s been put up for safe-keeping, but it has always been my favorite. I may have to bring that ornament out soon, now that I think about it.

Dreaming Awake 
My favorite ornament that I own is one from my Great Grandma Goldie. It’s a small round ornament with the center indented. It still has most of its paint and I just absolutely love it. esseboo@yahoo.com

I collect skiing Santa ornaments. One of my favorites is a skinny Santa on skis in a “tuck” position. His skinny little rear end sticks out and makes me laugh.

My mother is still using ornaments from Germany that date to the late 50s and early 60s. They bring back memories of childhood. But her nativity that my Paternal Grandmother made in ceramics is my favorite and one of the prettiest I have every seen.
