It’s been a year?!

Wow, I cannot believe that it’s been a year (and a day technically) that I first (self)published Entertaining Angels. In less than a year, I was contacted by Heather Huffman, director of Vox Dei when she offered to read and review my book for a blog tour I was part of. God works in mysterious ways, and after talking to Heather, I decided that Vox Dei was the right place for me. Boy, was I correct! I’ve made invaluable friendships, and I feel like we’re a family, not a just a bunch of authors, editors and cover designers thrown into a non-functioning group.

My experience at Vox Dei has been amazing, but what’s even more amazing is the fact that this book has touched lives. It’s even shown me how to become a better person. Do I still have doubts? All the time, but when I see people who have read my book and have learned how to love themselves, it makes me want to be stronger for them.

As you can imagine, I’m so happy that I wrote this book. I cannot thank each of you enough who have supported my dream of helping change lives from the very beginning. You all mean the world to me. My life has change for the better, and I am working on me as I spread this positive message of #‎youarebeautiful‬ and #‎loveyourself‬. Because you know what, we’re all a work in progress, and as my mom reminded me, that’s okay. We’re not perfect, but we can change the way we see ourselves and we can learn to love ourselves for who we are. So as I celebrate a year of learning to love myself for who I am, I hope that you can as well. You are all so wonderful and beautiful. I pray you never forget that, and if you ever start to doubt it, pick up Entertaining Angels and remind yourself that you have a #‎God who wants to remind you of that.

So, thank you to everyone who has believed in my book and me from the very beginning until now and into the future. When I think about all of you, my life is so much happier. I love you all.

To my new followers, thank you for finding me along the way and thinking that I have something to say that you want to keep reading. I appreciate that so much.

Since I don’t have control over Entertaining Angels’ price, and I never mentioned wanting to run a promo (which is my fault). I thought I’d give you all a little something to celebrate a year of having self-published Entertaining Angels and my birthday today, Read Me Dead and Piercing Through the Darkness are on sale for $0.99!

Trim the Tree with Candlelight Reads!

crholidaybadge1

This hop’s theme revolves around trimming the Christmas tree and our favorite, most sentimental ornaments. My mom has always trimmed her tree in ornaments that my sister and I made throughout elementary school, and to her, that’s the most sentimental. But for me, I remember this one ornament my grandma bought and painted for us. It was a snow baby. I was always so excited to put that ornament on the tree. It hasn’t been on my tree in a while, though, since it’s been put up for safe-keeping, but it has always been my favorite. I may  have to bring that ornament out soon, now that I think about it.

So, what’s your favorite ornament and the sentimental value that it holds for you? I’d love to hear in the comments!

I’m also giving away a signed copy of my first ever published novella, Piercing Through the Darkness, to one lucky winner. And two more winners will get a choice of Entertaining Angels or Read Me Dead in e-book format! Enter now!
